In 2002, The Design Center launched Toyama-Milan Design Interchange
Project as an attempt to create new products by blending two resources,
"Italian
design" and technical skill of Toyama.

1.Dispatch of the
Milan Design Mission
A mission that composed of staff of department of design-development of local
companies and officials of the prefecture ,city will be sent to Italy, for the
purpose of gathering information to develop attractive products. |

2.Invitation of designers and
corporate managers
Designers and corporate managers will be invited from Milan, and design exhibitions
and seminars will be held. |

3.Toyama -Milan Design
Competition
Aiming at the development of attractive new goods i blending Italian design and
technical skill of Toyama, we hold the competition by designers in Milan who
we nominates. Award-winning works will be considered by local companies and
the Design Center for their commercialization. |
