In 2002, The Design Center launched Toyama-Milan Design Interchange Project as an attempt to create new products by blending two resources, "Italian design" and technical skill of Toyama.

Dispatch of the Milan Design Mission 1.Dispatch of the Milan Design Mission
A mission that composed of staff of department of design-development of local companies and officials of the prefecture ,city will be sent to Italy, for the purpose of gathering information to develop attractive products.
 
2.Invitation of designers and corporate managers
Designers and corporate managers will be invited from Milan, and design exhibitions and seminars will be held.

Toyama -Milan Design Competition 3.Toyama -Milan Design Competition
Aiming at the development of attractive new goods i blending Italian design and technical skill of Toyama, we hold the competition by designers in Milan who we nominates. Award-winning works will be considered by local companies and the Design Center for their commercialization.
